The Armstrong Hotel

Open since 1923 on South College, and over the years the home of the first chapter of the American Automobile Association and wartime military barracks. Downstairs, Ace Gillett’s Lounge serves handcrafted cocktails and shareable plates to curated vinyl; the Ace Café is the daytime room. Check-in is 4 pm and check-out 11 am. Up to two dogs per room, under 100 pounds, for $75 a stay, with an Armstrong dog bed, bowl and local treats; parking is $20 a night in the hotel lot with unlimited in-and-out privileges.
