The Avenir keeps and shows historic apparel and textiles, a collection of roughly 20,000 artifacts from across cultures and centuries, in the University Center for the Arts East on Lake Street, a block from the main University Center for the Arts. Exhibitions change through the year. Free and open to the public, Tuesday to Friday from 11 am and Saturdays from 10 am; closed on university breaks and holidays.
