Moby Arena

Colorado State's 8,083-seat, whale-backed arena on the north-west side of campus, home to Rams basketball and volleyball since its dedication in January 1966, and the loudest room in Fort Collins on a rivalry night.

Moby was Moby Gym until the 1990s and got its name from the shape: a long white arched roof like a whale’s back, on Plum Street at the north-west corner of the main campus. It seats 8,083 for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball, which makes it one of the smaller and louder arenas in Division I; the student section’s noise has its own name, Moby Madness. The Colorado State Sports Hall of Fame runs along the south concourse, and the Rams ticket office is in the McGraw Athletic Center on the arena’s west side. For a game, lots open two hours before tip-off, will call opens one hour before, and the clear-bag rule and metal detectors apply as at the stadium. Tickets (800) 491-RAMS; parking by pay station or app on weekdays, with Moby lot 195 the one that usually has space.
